I finished reading Love Finds You In Groom, Texas a few days ago...what a great book! It's a Christian Fiction book, so it definitely follows the straight and narrow and you aren't left feeling guilty about the lack of morals among the characters. It's historical fiction and romance all in one. I have to admit, I just stumbled across it and only picked it up to read because a) I've heard of Groom, TX and thought it was random there was a book with it in the title, and b) the jaw of the cowboy on the cover looked very nice-ha! There's actually several "Love Finds You In..." books set all over the country...the one set in Lahaina, HI is next on the list from this book series for me. It's about 3 sisters (Anne, Emily, & Kate-both parents have died, they were once socialites now left with nothing) traveling from Denver, CO to Dallas, TX by train to live with their deadful uncle, but when the train tracks ahead are damaged they are stranded (and actually a little happy to delay moving to Dallas a little longer). They are taken in by a family who has a ranch (some train passengers stay at the local hotel, but there isn't enough room for everyone so local families take them in until the tracks can be fixed and the train can leave). The youngest son of the family they stay with is the last bachelor in town and everyone is preoccupied with him getting married. Anywho, the sisters fall in-step with the family, the townsfolk, participate in church picnics, plan a wedding, and continue to dread their move to Dallas. They find a new family where they belong....and you will have to read it to know how it ends! It's fairly predictable, but a pleasant and up-lifting read and you don't feel like you've lost your morals after reading it. Next on the list, The Help followed by Silver Girl!
